My early years were lived in the upstairs two bedrooms of a house. To keep me quiet, I was allowed a pencil and paper to write. At the direction of my mother I married while still in high school. By the time I was 23 our family included three daughters. A few years later I became a single mom. Life was a rollercoaster with no time or energy to consider writing anything.
Than I met the love of my life. We shared many rewarding adventures. After 32 years of marriage, the word cancer changed all that. My beloved experienced three years of poking, testing and drugs with toxic side effects. Yet we continued to laugh and love. He now lives in heaven.
I reached a milestone when I celebrated my 75th birthday with the publication of my first book. I repeated that accomplishment for my 77th birthday with my second book. Book number three was released at the beginning of 2021. Book number four was published in January of 2023, one month after my 80th birthday. Just call me Grandma Moses.
My new normal has already included two trips to Israel. This picture is the Sea of Galilee.
